PLEASE VISIT OUR COVID-19 INFORMATION PAGE FOR DETAILS ABOUT WOODSON ISD'S SCHOOL CLOSURE AND CORONAVIRUS INFORMATION!

What is Distance Learning?

Distance Learning is learning from locations that takes place away from school. Whether in times where students are ill, have missed due to extracurricular activities, or in times where school may not be able to have normal sessions, distance learning aides teachers and students allowing for timely and relevant instruction to be given via the internet.

What do I need as a student to use our Distance Learning?

Students will need internet access as well as either their school issued chromebook, or a personal computer / laptop. Chromebooks make the process simple because students log in directly using their school provided email. If using a laptop or computer, users need Google Chrome installed and will need to add their user to the browser. For assistance, please refer to our page that will guide you through the process of logging in using a laptop or computer.

How will my teacher share information with me?

Depending on grade level and teacher preference, teachers may use a variety of tools to create, capture, and present lessons to the students. Students will have assignments and information handed out through Google Classroom as part of this process as well as utilize other links and resources which can be found here: Helpful Links
